This is a device that tests your grip strength and logs the peak reading in either pounds of kilograms. It's used in the fitness and medical industries.
The construction is actually better than I was expecting. Very robust.

Was there any marking on the load cell to indicate manufacturer? Do you think this was custom made? I haven't been able to find anything that would meet these specs.

How does this work? I mean i can hang with one arm and 50kg additional weight( 130kg) in total but just 60kg with dynamometer. How is this possible? Is it different?

Funny to see this again sometime. About 6 years ago, I had to take a test at the hospital and it was with a similar thing. They told me to pull with full force, and I did it and had completely broken it. They had never seen this before. I was medically cleared for my hands, but unfortunately not for the rest of my body. So I fear that this plastic thingy, will not live on in my hands either 😁

I remember doctor tested me on a mechanical version after I had an Ulnar Nerve release on my left arm. When we compared my left to right hand strength, right hand nearly broke the device XD it was about 93lbs of grip strength, I was 18-19 at the time and I had never done exercises to strengthen my hand muscles at the time so that was just natural strength.
