A look at the interesting and very minimalist circuitry of a Glade sense and spray aroma unit. These devices use a very small cartridge of concentrated aroma chemicals and release a puff of aroma when they detect light intensity changes due to movement in the vicinity of the unit. Then there were flames.

I replaced the canister, replaced the batteries with new ones as they were dead, the light flashed & manually sprayed it twice, put it down on the shelf & it didn't work again. Smh… these built to last a very short amount of time products are polluting the earth!

I bet the flames smelled better than the scent it's supposed to put out.

Now I want one to rig it so it just pops up a big flame everytime soneone passes.

Oh dear, words fail me … I think these contraptions are only for blokes as even the mention of a screwdriver makes my brain shut down ! Again I have one of these that just won't work and is brand new !

LoL so this is what they are using outside the casino here in Melbourne Australia! They have them lined up in a row along the river, it's quite the spectacle! Kids literally shit themselves because of the hiss of the gas and the heat from the flame! I'm sure that there's a good video of it here on YouTube, it's the Crown Casino just in case you feel like having a look..

These things are a god send for my business – I make magic/puzzle boxes for escape rooms and the mechanisms make a really strong and cheap to buy actuator.

I bought the exact one but got a "Clean Linen" scent cartridge which was pretty good and inoffensive. Sensitive bugger too, trips at the slightest shadow near the PIR sensor and has a 30 minute timeout after being tripped. Almost gone though one cartridge in one week though…

Anyone else find the battery life is poor? The AA alkaline battery's are down to 1.38v per cell and its already struggling to push down the spray.

I suggest you build an arc generator and integrate it with the module inside the outer chassis. Would be mazing – flames on demand
