I've taken lights like this apart before, but thought it would be worth taking another to bits. In a previous one the earthing was a bit dubious as it was just a metal strip pressing against the aluminium casing. But they've solved that issue completely in this light...
Sorry for the low volume and major intensity variation, I'm still testing a new recording setup.
If you enjoy these videos you can help support the channel with a dollar for coffee, cookies and random gadgets for disassembly at:-

Funnily enough, I'm still using my Moto G4. I have no idea why, but I've been offered silly money for it.
I don't suppose that the lack of an earth connection to the casing might be because the manufacturer assumes you're going to run an independent earth to the lamp unit(s) in a chain? Still dodgy though. A bit of a shame really, because these could make reasonable cupboard/closet lights.
I think I've seen all your videos about main voltage led lamps. And just when you think you understand everything, there's still something I don't understand. I have the datasheet of the BP2832a in english and am trying to understand it. How can I get from the datasheet how many volts and or amps the vcc input should be?
Sounds to my like that phone was clipping the audio because of your bass voice, I know because it even happens on mine and its a huawei p30 Pro ๐คฃ
I realize this video is 4 years old, but did/do you use the default camera app, or a 3rd party one?
Also, you might want to consider finding a headset you like, & use it for recording. That would normalize your audio so it's pretty much the same for any device you record with. My wife found the brand "Monoprice" and I'll probably never buy a different one – they're awesome!!! Their bluetooth neck set is only $30, but it's worth WAY more in my opinion; great sound quality on both the mic + speakers, and phenomenal battery life… ๐
I don't like the whites in the picture, cold and all burned….
Is the housing really aluminium? Quite often it's just plastic that's painted
Remember, dont go in raw!
don't turn it on… TAKE IT APART!
It's those Chinese, I tell you, they have population control built into everything – plug in, touch the metalwork, one less member of the population!
I liked it when you mentioned converting the lamp using 12V LED strip, but curiously, just as you were getting to that part, I was thinking, could you drive the existing strip from a Joule thief type of circuit? especially in, say, a 24V motor home (RV), or boat etc.? It could be interesting to see that.
I would desolder the electronics and add a DC adapter. No more safety concerns.
"Let's discharge capacitor with aluminum screwdriver" Ohhh wait ?!
Well shit… i have 3 of the 4 foot long led light bars similar to this…still in box.. I guess I'll have to look them over closely before deciding to install or modify.( mine are Voltek name brand and have 5 year warranty-hmm) maybe i'll have better luck.
I missed the autofocus
