By request, a look at the waveform of the dubious SM Player device that appears to be widely available on eBay. The output of the device is basically an H-bridge made from discrete transistors that can switch the polarity of the probes with pretty much direct connection of a capacitor charged to between 60 and 120V!
The output is in the form of 50uS pulses that alternate in polarity, and these can either be single pulses or sustained streams of pulses for continuous nerve stimulation. And that ties in with the fact that these units are just rebadged TENS (Transcutaneous, Electrical Nerve Stimulation) With the transcutaneous bit meaning "through the skin".
As such the units primary purpose is for stimulation of nerves to suppress pain and in doing so it causes pain. In the application it's being sold for this is a LOT of pain! And I think that must be the market it's aimed at.

A friend gave me one of these for my tendon pain. It certainly can cause pain if turned up to full power, but when set to moderate levels, It was fabulous at relieving the pain I was experiencing. It obviously is not as sophisticated as an actual tens unit, but it still works well when carefully set up.
hey! Great video! I stumbled upon this device and its multiple 'conectors' in aliexpress and got one to try it out. But it seems scary to use the 'clips' connector, you are supposed to use one in each nipple, isn't AC across both nipples dangerous? Or too small of a current to cause damage?

These are really common so there must be a larger market. You can try anything but I don't like that 100V+ building up, surely it should have some form of leakage resistor or something else. He never said there were any resistors on the output or any other safety. I don't see anything really on more reputable systems – it must just rely on the converter being really weedy. I have a tens unit and the sharp stabby pain you feel is normal initially and very sensitive to where you put it and where the nerves are, but the edge goes off that in a couple of minutes and then its more of a massage – so I can only imagine he chickened out. That will be when the nerves are de-sensitised. but it comes back pretty quickly.
