Sometimes I just get the urge to hunt down really dubious listings. It's not hard to find them. These AA and AAA rechargeable cells will probably be OK for solar garden lights, but they aren't quite the capacity claimed.
The internal structure is interesting though. I guess the springy metal mesh is designed to keep the layers jammed together, and against the case.

could it be ni-cd?
Right now there are listings on Amazon for 9900 mAh 18650 lithium batteries lol. Just incredible…
I have often wondered how they get away with that in China. Is it because they do not have laws that forbid such fraud? Or do they have the laws, but nobody is enforcing them? Or is it a truly "Buyer Beware" society?
I think the electrolyte in NiMH cells is toxic if consumed, but just a mild irritant for skin exposure. Gloves wouldn't have been a bad idea tho, less cleanup to do
After the lithium cell debacle, I was worried his table may burst in flames.
I'm always little skeptical about anything I buy from ebay. And when I need something with quality I buy from major store.
Unwrap it before you tap it
You should probably wear gloves next time.
With alkaline batteries it's potassium hydroxide an zinc carbon is amonium chloride, some early cadmium batteries for example the rechargeable ones used in the perdio portarama TV made by Vennac used silver cadmium. I gutted one for a rebuild an it had a blue crystal residue, some nasty stuff there. I find amonium chloride destroys contacts quicker than potassium hydroxide.
I have a tecsun radio which run on 3 AA batteries.
At first I used some random alkaline batteries (used) that I had in my house.
Later I decided to get proper NiMH batteries for it.
I used alkaline batteries for 3-4 days, at which point battery level was halved in the battery display.
I didn't want to spend a lot on branded batteries(1800mah), which costed 180-300 INR per battery.
While branded nicad batteries (650) were about 100 INR per unit
I got some local (maybe Chinese?) Batteries for 75 INR per piece, they claim to be 1800mah NiMH batteries.
Now I have to charge my radio twice a day.
I bought a few 900mAh 9v batteries for my guitar pedals. I think they're nearer 100.
what does it taste like ?
toe nail clippers work fairly well for this. ask any methhead
"Made in hurry"
"The video wouldn't really be complete if I didn't open this, would it? So, here's the plan…"

I personally believe that they're shipping used cells out, claiming that they are new. They are shipping hazardous waste out of the country & making a $buck$ on the side instead of burying it or disposing of it properly!
Same thing with fluoride. In the United States they put fluoride in the water. Only problem is it's not the original fluoride that used in the 1950s. It is toxic waste, a by-product from making aluminum with the fluoride name on it. We buy it from China the lowest price around and throw it in our water.,, you can watch the documentary on Netflix if it's still on there.
