I'm pretty excited about this lamp as it is a complete new direction for LED lighting. It uses an array of LEDs on a cylindrical core to emulate the effect of a large torch flame. This would look great in a post-top lantern or as part of a minecraft style wall torch. The power consumption when animating is just 2.5W and the LEDs are run at between 10 and 15mA, so they should last well.
This lamp's manufacturers website is at https://www.ledflamelamp.com
There seems to be a wide variety of these lamps on eBay now if you search for the keywords flame lamp.

broken website link for bulb
I kind of laugh at people on Amazon's review section from people saying that the LED flames…. Don't look like the dramatized real flamesused on the picture posted by the vendor…
There's a similar lamp on here that can do a fire effect via it's app and flash according to what music you play, a govee table lamp. For what it is, it's expensive
aww they don't seem to exist anymore… any idea if there's anything similar or even bigger??? (looking for a prop for a greek theatre play an altar with an everlasting flame)
In the future (when I am typing this) the link provided directs to an adult asian site :-s
I have four lamps simular to the one you are using now on solar cell. working none stop for the last four years. Tony of Liverpool UK
Manufacture link no longer valid/working. Interesting bulb for sure. Would love to see an alexa/google compatible version for different effects. Maybe it's here already since this video was made
Dear Hagrid thanks for the magic lamp, illuminatio
This was five years ago! 3 years ago I was walking down my town street looking at the lighting they put up for the holidays going I know it's an electric light I see the wiring and yet my brain could not comprehend the fact that it looks like a gas lamp. We have Lantern style lights hang from pole suspended from the power poles. I just picked myself up one of those bulbs last week.
I paid retail at my local hardware store, unfortunately the website link is dead.
Great for decoration, but…
Really disappointed (and kinda shocked!, but not really surprised) when the Council replaced the gas "eternal flame" in a war memorial obelisk here with one of these hi-tech bulbs.
If we're not already, we're doing all we can to "live in a simulation."
You're so happy about that light 😏😁
You look like Gaaaaandalf, or like Solzhenitsyn, or like a grand old wizard of some sort, in particular that light – how appropriate 🙂
the light looks really cool, but looped flame will never be interesting to look at for very long, not like a real flame or a lava lamp or something else without a noticeable loop. Hooking one up to a random number generator could be cool
If I wanted to hack this lamp, rip put the converter, to run on 12v, would it present safety problems?
The one I have also detects which way up it is so you can use it cap up or down and the flames still go upward
I remember watching video a while back (before I was a subscriber) and I came across it while watching the video where you got out the "X-ray" machine (hammer). I have 2 bulbs similar to this one. They are blue and got them for the sole purpose of "taking them to bits". Mine are a little different however. They don't have all those panels, just one and they are blue. I wish they were red.
I bet you could recreate this with those spiral led strip lights some people on youtube have been making.
It's a shame they don't make them like this anymore. The quality has really gone down, you can't find the "higher resolution" flame effect like this anymore.
