Replacing xenon style strobe lamps. These are supposed to have a much longer life than these have had. I think they lasted a few months of light use and a large quantity have packed in already. I was replacing them with older ones salvaged from another set, which have proven much more reliable.

Hi Clive, Firstly, thanks for all the great videos you post, I really enjoy them. Do you know where these strobe light can be ordered from here in the UK, I wanted to get some for my christmas lights at home, but they are a nightmare to source. Thanks again.

I've got one open in our site hut, but haven't tested it yet. The capacitor looks OK and the resistors don't look like they've been running hot. So I'm guessing it's either the tiny xenon tube or the strike transformer.
Dissected one of the dead ones already ? How do they fail ?
