This is a teardown and circuit analysis of a small USB powered floating water atomiser. when you sit it in a glass or dish of water it produces a fine stream of ultrasonically generated mist.
The circuitry is shown in the video, but I'm not sure about the way the step-up transformer has one side of the secondary connected to the MOSFET drain connection as opposed to the circuits ground (or isolated completely.) Any thoughts about that?
Neat little device though.

Huh, ps1 modchip source xD
Clive if you thought the title of this video was click bait … oh WTF, I'm watching it. I can immediately see the attraction you had for it. It's got everything – a pink ring that lets out steam when you turn it on. Please, tell me what you searched on, to get this device.
I forgot what your channel was called for a moment so I searched for this XD

Now it makes sense! You have a history with pink rings! Lol.
Glad it doesn't have some kind of trojan hack installed.. Then again, mystery chip.
A smoking pink ring? Big Clive's been on the chilli again! Anyone remember that spicy Pot Noodle advert ages ago that had no dialog just Johnny Cash's "Ring of fire" playing in the background?
I bet the title of this video was funny when this was made. Less so now eh?
I was going to make a comment with one of the quotes as an innuendo but there are just too many to choose from. Three screws in the bottom, going to tear into it and see what's inside, this is going to get wet and messy, I just can't pick.
I think a better name would have been "Check out my pink wet hole"
Where did you source this as I've been after something similar to tear apart for a project and every time I google 'atomizer' or 'vaporizer' it's nothing but perfume and vaping gear.
With water vapor creating 'machines' I'm always a little worried for Legionnaires' disease. Here in The Netherlands in 1999 we had a big outbreak of it caused by bubble baths that were for sale on a flower trade show and 32 people died and others have bad health for the rest of their lives.
"so what are you watching on YouTube Charlie?" "Oh Big Clive tearing down a smoking pink ring"
If it's a PIC I'm surprised they are using an external crystal as the clock. The internal clock should be adequate for this application.
think u need rename this video ๐
