RFID tags are available in a few different standards ranging from the very secure ones with data and encryption, to the much simpler ones that simply present themselves as a unique (or not so unique) serial number to the RFID reader.
This is a look at the cheapest and most common, that is widely available on ebay from a wide range of suppliers as either bare components or packages for full door control. Not that I'd trust these much for security with people like us about...

Idk why stores have not gone to rfid rather than bar codes. They are cheap enough now. You could push your buggy thru a reader, pay and go…
Saya beli tapi tidak bisa digunakan
This DAWGGOAT cloned card really vibing good and put bread to da hood, if thisโs once in awhile hitting, so fuckin excited I hit on right timeโฆ Got tha exactly balance, youโre man of your words bro
Why isn't this functionality in smartphones? I have nfc phone but not recognising the keycard at all.
Clive duplicators cannot clone tags that are encrypted!!!!!!!! It cannot duplicate sato access control fobs!
I wonder if the nicer one encrypts traffic. If not you can put a microcontroller in to sniff traffic and replay.
Can you transfer the original code straight from the box to the chip with that handheld device or it can only read the code generated by the chip or tag or how do you wish to call it?
Holy cow man I seen quotes once for 500 long range rfid tags and 2 readers for cars/gates it was like $80k installed
Hi
You don't even need that reader anymore. Any smartphone with NTC and a free app will copy most cards and fobs…I can recommend NFC Tools and NFC ReTag, but there are many of them. You can even copy the card/fob to the phone . Neat.. ๐
They had one on the computer room door at the place I used to work. Whenever the janitor would wipe down the walls near the sensing head, the doors would pop open, driving them bonkers. Cleaning lady told me, but we kept it our secret. Coffee machine in the same building had a beam at the bottom where the cup dropped. If you put your personal cup in the bottom, you got free copy. Perks of the accounting department. (and me)๐
Clive.. Couldnt you have opened the device itself and run a very thin (single) line of copper around a particular area therefore acting as an aeriel?
Here's to crime done in style! ๐คฃ๐คโค๐ฑ๐
Some RFID cards, like those in ePassports, actually count the number of usages, and compare that number with what the system should have for the card, so copying them isn't directly possible
you know casino chips have rfid in them, would be cool to clone them.
Excellent review and I am the owner of four electric locks with three RFID TAG at 13.56 MHz, I would like to use the same RFID tags to turn on and off the electricity through an RFID card reader (used in hotel rooms) always at 13.56 MHz? In your opinion, can the RFID tags be read by both devices?
My old place of work had one of those rfid readers for the office, a disgruntled employee had broken the system and we couldn't get into the office. Now I knocked the device off the wall and managed to bypass the system completely using a phone charger. This was a while ago so I hope things have improved by I don't think it has.
Hi Big Clive, Small Clive here! The thumbnail looks like you're holding a tiny CRT TV! ๐บ
