Just out of interest I bought three identical looking lamps with different voltage ratings to take apart and compare the circuitry.

I have a simple 240v strobe led lamp that flashes to music. It lokks super basic when take it apart. But is there anyway i can make it run.off 12/14volts. Any tips or ideas…
Hi Clive
I have a "golf-ball" LED lamp. When powered it looks like the internals are of the pattern of the type you illustrated. On the bayonet cap it rates the lamp as 10 – 30 volts. This thing is sealed solid. What's your thoughts on its construction?
I live in a caravan with NZ wiring and my 12 volt keeps going out 2 12 volt lights so far. The people want to solar in a 12 volt capacitor on it to see if it has any more problems??? WHY would they try this, the 240volt is fridge, kettle oven frypan etc, 12 volt lights are the ceiling lights only and run off the battery; cant understand why they want to do this and what does a capacitator do anyway hope you can help thanks
is that 100 ohms 2w resistor used in 24v bulb ?
yes.led.you.12.v.dc.24.v.dc.220v.ac.led.240v.ac.๐โก๐
At least they'll make novelty salt shakers.
just ordered a variant of these for an off grid camper, then found a big clive video about them!
The isle of Man is quite small, there are only 82 ohms there.
I don't know why people are surprise about low voltage Bayonet fitting. They been around for years. I still have a 12v incandescence lamp. Which looks the same as 240v
Hello Big Clive, can you share with me ,are these leds soldered onto non-aluminium boards since you mentioned circuit board
is there such a bulb that can cover from 12v ac/dc to 240v ac/dc clive ? and why do make 12vdc lamps with bayonet fittings ?
Clive, can you advise where you got these?
Strange that the 12 and 24V lamps don't have car-type bayonet connectors.
